Our 3 largest fundraising efforts at Fairmount are the Silent Auction (Sep 22, 2017), the Fairmount Firebird 5K Chase (May 6, 2018) and the King Soopers/Safeway Grocery Card Program.
Each year we identify “big ticket items” in order to enhance the Fairmount Elementary experience. In past years these items have included iPads and “smart boards” for every classroom, Chromebooks for every grade, new playground equipment, Fundation supplies, school safety equipment, an outdoor classroom, the new Learning Garden, improvements to our running track, and the electronic marquee at the school entrance.
Our fundraising efforts this year will go towards the purchase of another set of Google Chromebooks (36), parking lot improvements, the Read Naturally and Interventions programs, continued additions to the Learning Landscape Initiative (playground enhancements), funding of a Multi-Cultural Night, an Author Visit, and 2 Xylophones for the music program. These are just a few of the things we have identified at this point. Stay tuned to hear more about some other great ideas we have in the hopper!
The Fairmount Silent Auction will be held on-line and will conclude during the school Fall Festival on September 22nd.
This year, bidding for all auction items will be online, starting at 4pm on Sept 15th and ending at 7pm on the 22nd. You can view the items in the cafeteria during the Festival and pay for, and pick up, items in the library starting at 7:15pm. We will be able to accept credit cards, if needed, but checks and cash save the PTA money. Our auction fundraising goal for this year is $10,000, please participate and help our school.

This event is one of Fairmount's largest annual fundraisers. The event offers a 5K run/walk, a 1K run/walk and a 50 meter dash by age group for the kids. You can use your time from the Fairmount Firebird 5K Chase to qualify for the first 32 waves of the 2018 Dick's Sporting Goods BolderBOULDER. Our fundraising goal for this year is $28,500.

This is the EASIEST fundraising program as YOU and the school earn money back for simply making your everyday grocery purchases! We sell reloadable King Soopers & Safeway gift cards. The PTA earns 5% of every dollar you spend at Safeway and King Soopers. The PTA returns 2.5% of that to you!
You now have two choices on how you can use your earnings:
We hope that this extra option gives families more flexibility and encourages everyone to reload their cards more often! Remember to continue using your grocery cards. You do not need to buy a new one each year, unless it has expired.
To purchase a card (preloaded with $25), please click here. Your card(s) will be delivered to you through your student's Friday Folder (in a bright yellow envelope).
Purchase multiple cards for your family members, grandparents, friends, gifts, etc. All cards will be associated with your family which means more money for you!
