st-grade engineers were inspired by the Macy’s Day Thanksgiving parade as they created their own floats. Students followed the design process and were limited by only their imaginations as creativity flowed in the classroom!
nd graders picked up where they left off with their biomimicry inventions. Students created solutions for problems at home, in school, and on athletic courts and fields. They found ways to keep shoes tied, trap squirrels, protect plants in the garden, and much more! If you have a problem, second grade will solve it!
rd graders worked on mastering multiplication basic facts. Kahoot quizzes provided a friendly competition among mathematicians. Some students even went home and created their own so that they could compete with family and friends!
th graders had a design challenge of their own. Students are improving an existing product. They have analyzed their existing product and are thinking of ways to enhance them through their specification sheets. There is no shortage of ideas with this group!
th graders are trying to provide a much-needed burst of joy to 2020 as they innovate the “It” toy of the year! Students are using Tinkercad to create their new toy. Winning designs (as determined by an authentic group of kids in the 8-12 age range) in each class will be 3D printed!
