Enroll JeffCo

EnrollJeffco is Jeffco Public Schools enrollment system. All families will need to use EnrollJeffco between December 5th and January 12th to indicate where your students will be going to school next August, including if they are returning to Fairmount. This system will digitally manage the choice/open enrollment process. It is super important for returning Fairmount families to complete this process by January 13th because we will determine staffing and open seats available for open enrollment based on your responses. If you know new kindergarten families, please let them know about this process or tell them to call the office. For our 5th graders, this is the time to let Jeffco know what your middle school plans are.

You will be getting additional information from our district soon explaining how you will access the system to complete the enrollment process for next year. You can always call our amazing Sue Bobroske in the office if you have questions about the process or if you would like to come in the office for in-person assistance.

Mountain Vista Nursing Home

Ms. Hirn and our amazing Choir Birds will be visiting our friends at Mountain Vista Nursing Home this year! They will be singing holiday tunes and helping to deliver the holiday gifts everyone brought in for the residents.  Thank you to Michelle Henriksen and Ashley Gleason for coordinating this effort and all our families who sponsored a resident!

Winter Break

Our students’ winter break starts on Wednesday, December 20th, and they return on Monday, January 8th.  We hope all of our families have a magical and safe vacation!  See you in 2024!

As always, if you have a question, comment, or suggestion, please call the office, stop by, or email me at Sally.Mills@jeffco.k12.co.us.

The Garden Club is looking for volunteers to help with tower gardens in the 5th grade classrooms starting in January. Volunteers will maintenance the towers as well as teach some lessons about things related to the towers. Volunteers can help with other volunteers or teach on their own. The commitment takes about an hour every week to every few weeks.  Flexible day/time that can be worked out with the individual teachers. If you are interested, please email Joanna Poeck.

Girls on the Run

We are happy to offer Girls on the Run (GOTR) in Spring 2024. Practices will be M/W from 2:45p to 3:50p starting in March and ending on May 18th with the Girls on the Run Colfax 5K. We are in need of assistant coaches this season! Melissa Pfahl will be the head coach and she needs 2-3 assistant coaches to help with practices. There is flexibility in this voluntary position and no running experience needed. Assistant coaches can be any adult member of our community that has an interest in helping our girls grow into their best selves. If you are a parent of a child interested in joining the team, assistant coaches get discounted tuition rates, coach t-shirt and a free race bib for the 5K.
