Message from Sally Mills, Principal

Thank You!!

As this school year ends, we would like to thank all our families for your support this year! Thank you to our parent volunteers! Thank you to PTA and Accountability Committee members! We appreciate the community events, school activities, fundraising support, Book Cart, classroom help, field trip chaperones, Friday Folders, etc., etc.!! Our students benefit so much from everything you do for us!

Staffing Changes

The only retirement we have this year is Lynda Smith, our amazing kindergarten paraprofessional. Our students have been blessed to have Lynda for many years, and now she is going to be full-time grandma! We wish Lynda all the best!

We are planning for all our teachers to return next year. The only changes are Mrs. Larkins will join the 2nd grade team and Mrs. Sharp will join the 3rd grade team.

Summer Is Coming!

Everyone at Fairmount wishes to thank our fabulous families for a successful school year! It has been our passion and pleasure to work with you to help our students grow in so many ways! We hope everyone has a happy summer vacation! This is a great time for everyone to play, relax, and spend time with family and friends.

The school office will be open until June 11th and will re-open on July 22nd for our next school year. Summer office hours are from 9:00 a.m. – noon.

As always, if you have a question, comment, or suggestion, please call the office, stop by, or email me at Sally.Mills@jeffco.k12.co.us.

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week: May 6-10

We are excited to celebrate our incredible Fairmount Teachers & Staff with a trip through Europe and some great souvenirs along the way!

Below you'll find this week's itinerary that our awesome volunteers have put together for them! Huge thank you to PTA for funding the week and Country Fair Garden Center for donating some of the souvenirs.

Book Cart

Book Cart has sent out the last books of the year on Wednesday, May 1st for our K-2 students. Parent volunteers began collecting books for inventory on Thursday May 2nd. Please return your book as soon as your student is done reading it and be on the lookout for notices about any books that may be missing.

Yearbooks/Summer Learning Kits

For those of you who ordered yearbooks and/or summer learning kits, they will be delivered to the classrooms before the end of the year. Keep an eye on your kid's backpacks!

Please visit our webpage to access special offers from our partners and to read our end of year recap

Fairmount Garden

In the coming weeks, you will be receiving an email to sign up to care for the Fairmount Garden over the summer. Please volunteer to keep our garden healthy and growing during the break.

Whether you volunteer for time or not, anyone is welcome to stop by the school throughout the summer to harvest/maintain our garden.

Skate City Night

Milk Caps for MOOOLA

If you are collecting milk caps for Longmont Dairy, please be aware that you DO NOT need to count your milk caps. If you would like to enter the monthly drawing for a Cold Stone gift card, please clearly print your student's name, student's grade, and teacher's name on the bag. Longmont Dairy caps only!

Thank you to everyone who has participated. Keep turning in your milk caps!

Recycle Your Ink At Fairmount

Please drop off any empty printer ink cartridges for recycling in the main lobby bin.

Fairmount will earn money for your ink cartridges.

Help Us When You Shop

We have several business partnerships that generously donate money back to our PTA when you shop.

King Soopers Community Rewards

Sign up for Community Rewards with King Soopers and earn money for the school every time you shop for groceries. In the 1st quarter of 2024, 327 households generated $4,471.79 in rewards for our school. Please add Fairmount as your community rewards recipient!

Mabel's Labels

Support Fairmount PTA and keep your items out of lost and found with Mabel's Labels. Purchases connected to Fairmount earn 20% back to the PTA to help fund our amazing programs. Order here and make sure to select Fairmount Elementary (Golden).

Milk Caps for Moo-la!

In partnership with Longmont Dairy, Fairmount receives 5 cents for every cap we collect. Just as important, we rescue milk caps from the landfill by returning these to the dairy so they can be recycled.

Minted

The Fairmount PTA has partnered with Minted, an inclusive artist forum, to fundraise for a new kindergarten playground and upgraded sound systems for the school. Go to Minted.com, use the code FUNDRAISEFAIRMOUNTPTA, and receive a 20% discount on your order. Minted will also donate 15% of the total back to Fairmount.
