PTA Volunteer/Coordinator Kickoff Meeting

UPDATE: Location will be Bunkers Taproom at Applewood Golf Course

Hi All -

Setting time for all of our PTA Coordinators/Volunteers to come together and kick off the new school year.  Based on the responses from the Google Form sent out last week, this timeslot (Tuesday September 10th from 7-8pm) worked best.  Below you will find the proposed agenda for the meeting:


1. Introductions
2. Housekeeping Items

a. PTA Membership reminders
b. Important dates for the year
c. Expense Reimbursement Processes

3. Roles & Responsibilities

a. Review Org Chart
b. Confirm everyone has what they need to be successful this year
c. Align on any support still needed

4. Open Q&A

Additionally, a priority I continue to have for my role as President this year is to document role responsibilities and job aids for each of the positions we have across the PTA.  We are aiming to define roles more clearly and optimize transition handoffs year over year.  With that, I will use the information from this meeting as a starting point, but will be working with each of you throughout the year to draft and maintain the materials relevant to your role.

As we start the new school year, the Fairmount PTA board would like to find some time to get all our our PTA Coordinators/Volunteers in person to meet each other and discuss/distribute information needed for your roles.  Please fill out the attached form to let us know which dates & times work for you.  

Depending on availability, we may break this into two sessions.

This will be a sponsored event hosted by the PTA Board  (i.e. food & drinks to be served).  We haven't nailed down location, but are looking to meet in person at a non-school venue.
